The second Landlord Forum based in Cwmbran is taking place on Wednesday 25th November at the Parkway Hotel in Llantarnam at 6pm.
QualitySolicitors Rubin Lewis O’Brien and Green & Co Accountants and Tax Advisors, sponsors of the forum, expressed their excitement over the evening: “The Landlord Forum aims to be an educational platform for all landlords in the area.” said Penny Jarman, Business Development Executive at QualitySolicitors Rubin Lewis O’Brien. “Landlords can discuss their experiences and bring issues to light in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We are delighted that we have three great speakers to cover insurance, estate planning and Lasting Powers of Attorney matters.”
The first speaker is Dave Brassey from Underwood Insurance brokers. His talk will be aimed at how insurance can protect the Capital, Income and Liabilities of the Residential Property Owner by giving advice on what is needed, where to buy it and how much of it to buy.
The second speaker for the evening is Nick Park, Director at Green & Co Accountants and Tax Advisors. Nick will be discussing estate planning and the new residence nil rate band. Many people do not think about inheritance tax issues until it is too late and their family are left with hefty tax bills.
The third speaker is Damian Lines, Partner and Head of the Private Client team at Rubin Lewis O’Brien. Damian is covering the very important, but often ignored, subject of Lasting Powers of Attorney.
“We want attendees to benefit from the forum,” continued Mrs Jarman. ‘‘We hope that the speakers can offer real value to those landlords who wish to engage with this free service which is available for all current or potential landlords across the region.”
