Two talented students at Green & Co received commendations last week recognising their exceptional performance in the third year of their university studies.
The two students, Leanne Flanagan and Lucy Whittington, were amongst five in the UK to be selected for commendation by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Examination Board.
Green & Co business owners Ed Gooderham and Nick Park are delighted that the hard work of their two employees has been recognised by the ACCA. “We are thrilled that the ACCA have chosen Leanne and Lucy for commendation,” said Ed Gooderham. “They have both worked brilliantly and have been such an asset to our company.”
The privately owned accountancy firm services a small number of local clients as well as a large number of corporate and agricultural firms across the breadth of the UK.
Green & Co draw on their agricultural and commercial expertise to offer accountancy, bookkeeping and tax advising services to businesses across Wales and the South West of England. They serve over 600 clients, the majority of which are farming and agricultural firms.
‘‘We focus a great deal on client retention,” says Nick Park. “We aren’t a sales orientated business. We like to take care of our existing clients and let our reputation attract new business – and that is how we approach our staff. We want them to become the best at what they do whilst receiving reward, development and progression.”
Since the business was founded in 1993 the company have experienced consistent annual growth and specialise in minimising businesses liabilities. On average, they save their clients £2,500 in tax for every £1000 of fees.
