Former All Black Sean Fitzpatrick to headline Challenge Summit in Cardiff

Two Cardiff professionals have laid down the marker for the event of the Summer with the launch of The Challenge Summit 2015.

Friends Helen Davies and Caroline De Lange have launched The Challenge Summit 2015; a motivational event showcasing speakers from across the world who have excelled in their chosen sporting careers and have gone on to be successful in their businesses. The event will be held on Thursday 16th July, with a reception drinks event to be held the evening before for delegates and guests.  World cup winning All Black and former captain, Sean Fitzpatrick will be the headline speaker.

Rugby legend Sean Fitzpatrick, who kept current Wales and Lions supremo Warren Gatland out of the New Zealand side for most of his career, will headline a speakers panel of notable sports personalities; all with substantial success stories in business as well as their respective sport. Each speaker will share their stories, their challenges faced and secrets to success, offering insight and motivation to all who attend.

“The Challenge Summit seeks to showcase the synergies between the competitive sporting arena and the corporate business world.” said Davies, who has an extensive background managing rugby players in the UK. De Lange added, “We believe the world of sport has much to teach the corporate world and visa versa,  and are seeking to provide a highly motivational and informative day where entrepreneurs and business executives alike can come along, be inspired and hopefully take some new, innovative strategies which can be applied to their businesses away with them.

“South Wales has hosted some of the world’s biggest events with the Ryder Cup and NATO Summit being held here in recent years.” continued Davies. ”We hope to add The Challenge Summit to the stellar list of worldwide events that help to put Wales at the forefront of a global audience.”

The Vale Hotel was a key target for the summit, with its close connotations to sporting excellence for both rugby and football.

“Our vision is to organise The Challenge Summit as an annual event.” added Davies. “We aim for each conference year after year to be bigger and better than its predecessor. We are a company full of drive and determination and are bubbling with ideas.  Watch out Cardiff, more exciting events to suit all are in the planning stages.”
