Actor Sarah Gordy has been announced as the patron to the charity Follow Your Dreams.
Sarah, who has Down’s syndrome, has been working in the industry for more than 10 years, appearing in popular TV productions such as Call The Midwife, Doctors and Upstairs Downstairs as well as a wide variety of theatre productions. She also reads Bedtime Stories on CBeebies and is therefore a familiar face to a lot of children the charity works with.
Speaking of the charity’s delight to have Sarah as a patron, Follow Your Dreams chief executive Diane Blackmore said: “She will be such an inspiration to the children we work with.
“It will be amazing for the children with a passion for acting to have someone to aspire to.”
Sarah said: “I am so glad to be a patron of such a great charity. I’m really happy to be a part of the good work they do.”
