Cwmbran based Accountancy firm Green & Co has taken on the South Wales Three Peaks Trail for the second year running. Six employees from the company, Cat Adams, Andrew Evans, Hannah Evans, Chimene Haines, Nick Park and Katie Williams, walked the 20 mile route in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
“Fundraising plays a vital part in contributing towards research and cures,” said Nick Park, Green & Co Director and participant in the challenge. “As a local firm, we believe that it is important to be socially aware and support charities in our community. The money we have raised will go towards the vital support that the Marie Curie Cancer Care nurses give to families who are going through such difficult times.”
The firm is heavily involved in fundraising and last year a team from the firm climbedto the top of Mount Snowdon. This team took the Gold Route on the South Wales Three Peaks Trial, conquering theprominent summits near Abergavenny; Blorenge, Sugar Loaf and Skirrid all in under seven hours. The six participants have raised an outstanding £500 for their chosen charity.
All involved found the event highly rewarding and the company are looking to support this worthy cause by dedicating an annual fundraising event to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
