Accountancy firm celebrate award nomination in anniversary year

Cwmbran based accountancy firm Green & Co is celebrating their nomination as Best Employer by a national financial publication.

The privately owned firm is owned by Ed Gooderham and Nick Park. The business has grown from servicing a small number of clients locally to acquiring a large number of corporate and agricultural clients across the breadth of the UK.

Speaking of the nomination Gooderham said ‘‘We are delighted to be nominated for the second year in a row. We place a great deal of emphasis on staff development as well as reward. Nick and I have both been employed in environments where we felt under- stimulated; that is the last thing we want our staff to feel.’’

Gooderham continued ‘‘It is vital that we not only reward our staff for their hard work and dedication to the company and our clients, but we ensure they are continuously progressing in their own careers.

Park added ‘‘We focus a great deal on client retention. We aren’t a sales orientated business. We like to take care of our existing clients and let our reputation attract new business – and that is how we approach our staff. We want them to become the best at what they do whilst receiving reward, development and progression.’’
